Wedding Date on May 11, 2019

Ashleigh and Alwin got together at the University of Auckland. They met as friends, but feelings grew between them and on their first date in 2014, they both knew that one day they’d be standing together, making their wedding vows to each other. Last year Alwin proposed in Disneyland, with a beautiful sapphire ring he had bought on his mum’s credit card, so Ashleigh wouldn’t know about it. Clever! Their wedding had a Disney princess theme. The bride's dress was covered in sparkles and she had the most spectacular flower clip in her hair. Bridesmaid Kate was pretty in pink and a butterfly necklace. Groomswoman Jansje wore the same blue suit as her brother, the groom, with pink shoes and tie. The wedding cake was topped with colourful Lego figurines! After all the work and organising, Ashleigh and Alwin took a lovely long honeymoon, involving a magical cruise on the Mediterranean, stopping off at various places to spend time with family. Their wedding was a happy day of romance, acceptance and kindness and I was delighted to be a part of making such lovely memories.
