Wedding Date on Dec 29, 2018

How we met: I was visiting my boyfriend on base with my best friend. Kyle has just come home from a deployment, and came walking into the room carrying a case of bud light. He inevitably ended up asking my best friend for her number. He invited her to his housewarming party a few weeks later, where we became best friends and my precious relationship ended. While we dated other people for the next 6 months, Kyle pursued me consistently and I finally said yes to a date. That best friend, was the maid of honor in our wedding. The proposal: On Labor Day, the two year anniversary of when we met on base, we went for dinner at Blossom in Charleston. Afterwards, we walked along waterfront park. The Carnival ship was leaving port, and we had plans to cruise in it in just 4 months. We walked over to a bench by the pineapple fountain - the symbol of Charleston for myself. I hung a picture of that fountain in my PA locker the year before I got accepted to college in Charleston. It was the symbol of the place I adored. Kyle got on one knee, and was quickly interrupted by an elderly man and his nurse. The man, later known to be Gary, was so excited and couldn’t contain himself. The nurse pulled the man away for Kyle to put the ring on my hand, and finish the proposal. Later, Gary’s nurse took our photo and Gary was able to congratulate us. What made our wedding special: My desire to have a Plantation wedding, and Kyle's love for aviation. Also, learning just 4 months prior that we would be moving to Utah made the day not only a wedding to celebrate our marriage, but the last time we would see a lot of our friends and family before we moved. This video may be the last time we see some of our friends and family in movement for the next 4 years.
