Wedding Date on Aug 23, 2019

David and Carissa tied the knot in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at The Home Place at Valley View on August 23, 2019. They met online in the beginning days of Tinder. David was touring with the world with the Harlem Globetrotters. Carissa was living her life in Kansas City. They never met in real life and eventually lost touch. A few years later, after he decided to stop living on the road and settle down, David moved back to KC. The two eventually reconnected and fell in love. After several failed attempts at setting up grand engagement events, David finally found success. They had plans to go to Crawl for Cancer with some friends on Cinco de Mayo. While Carissa got ready, David called to tell her that their dog, Izzy, had gotten loose in the yard. Carissa ran outside to help and was surprised to find her parents, David, and their pups gathered with signs that said “Will you marry David?”
