Lauren grew up dancing, she is from Atlanta and she was a cheerleader for the Atlanta Hawks. She met Jeff while he was a scout for the Atlanta Hawks. She saw him one day and asked the security guard who he was. Jeff gave the security guard his business card to give to Lauren but Jeff was nervous to talk to her. Jeff is from Missouri and Lauren kept pronouncing it 'misery' when they first met/dated, haha. Jeff played basketball at Florida State and was going to go play abroad but got an opportunity to work with the Hawk's front office. They met and started dating in 2014. They bought a house together shortly after he proposed. Jeff proposed on a hot air balloon ride in California. Lauren was very surprised.
