Wedding Date on Oct 31, 2018

Josh and Ashley were originally planning a small, unconventional wedding in the Austin, TX area, but decided in the end to elope. Their photographer Nicole of Map + Compass photography became their planner and coordinator and guided them through the whole planning process. Her husband Josh even officiated their wedding day. Josh and Ashley incorporated a ton of meaningful artifacts from their past into their day, including photos of them from high school when they dated and gifts from their family. They initially dated in high school for awhile before going separate ways and finding one another again a few years ago. The coffee mugs they used were Josh’s parents when they dated. The bar cart was a gift from Josh’s parents and Ashley wore her mom’s aztec jacket and rings from family members. Ashley decided to look through her grandparents wedding photos while getting ready and it was one of the most impactful moments of the day. They took their time drinking coffee and enjoying one another before exchanging vows. And of course! They got married on Halloween. Spooky.
