Wedding Date on Apr 21, 2018

This couple chose to celebrate their 12 year wedding anniversary with an intimate vow renewal in the Joshua Tree desert with their three children present. Their children would look at pictures of their wedding and ask why the kids were not in the pictures at the wedding. Ha! The family recently relocated to California to pursue their acting careers. Juan-Pablo has been in a lot of movies and TV shows such as Homeland and many others. Recently, their oldest son started acting as well. The poem is something I found and asked them to read separately and then I mixed their voices together in post. I intercut between the poem and their own personal vows. It’s a film technique I borrowed from one of my favorite directors, Terrence Malick.
