Wedding Date on Feb 23, 2019

We met in Washington DC during our sophomore year of school, both doing a 'study abroad' program through Pepperdine University (our alma matter). That said, I was dating someone else at the time, and Matthew and I just started to become friends. We started 'talking' that following summer and the rest is history! I'd say we fell in love while back in Malibu, California (Pepperdine's campus) and he made me wait forever to officially date him (long story) but we now agree that we loved each other before we technically started dating even... so it's all a bit up in the air! We got engaged back in Washington DC in December of 2018 - he had just moved from DC to LA and flew back to DC to surprise me standing by the Jefferson memorial, the place where a park ranger several years prior said to us while we were jogging: "I see the looooove between you two" and we laughed! We love to go on adventures together such as hiking, biking, camping, etc. as well as travel - travel will be a big part of our lives (we hope)!
