"You know, you can actually see old lobster couples, walking around their tank, you know... holding claws" - Phoebe Buffay When a deep love of rom coms meets a deep love of storytelling, great and wonderful things are bound to happen. It was a good day when we met Sophie + Conaill, we instantly fell in love with them, their creativity and their sweet disposition for an iconic one liner on a romanticised film set. When they told us they'd be projecting a huge screen at their reception of their favourite films streaming throughout the night we might have made a noise akin to a shrill mouse, and as fellow film and rom com nerds our little hearts sung quite the tune when we heard The Wedding Singer's 'Grow Old With You' spoken as a reading during their ceremony. Using only their favourite films we wanted to create Sophie + Conaill their very own love story - on film and ready to watch for generations to come. But our favourite thing about these two is their love of music. A beautiful line spoken by Sophie's brother - 'I love you more than music' gives you an idea of how important music is not only to Soph + Conaill but to their entire family, with numerous family performances featuring throughout the night. It truely was a unique celebration of the arts and an example of how film, music and love go hand in hand.
