One night shortly after arriving in Shanghi, China, James walked into a bar where he met the bar manager, Steve. After a short conversation, Steve asked James if he could do him a favor. He explained that this girl he had a crush on, Martha, would be coming to the bar later with a friend. "Could you distract her while I talk to Martha," he asked. James agreed to the task, and waited with Steve for the two ladies to arrive. About an hour later, Martha and Ali arrived at the bar and James walked right up to Ali and asked, "Have you heard British cheese is better than Wisconsin cheese?" It was a corny pick-up line at that, but it worked! It was the start of a bigger adventure than they both could have imagined.
