Wedding Date on Jul 29, 2021

A lot of people thought I would expect it as we were in such a lovely location, but we have been on plenty of holidays and Billy has always said he wouldn’t propose on a holiday as it was ‘too obvious’. Our body clocks were out of sync early into the holiday so we would always wake up really early and go for a walk. We were a close walk to Fort Barrington, which was a fort on top of a hill with an extremely steep incline. I had knee surgery a couple of years ago and, even though my knee would have been fine, I had a lack of confidence in my ability to get up the hill. In the first few days of the holiday, we tried to climb it and I gave up halfway through. We then tried this again a second time. I was determined not to be a wimp so I managed to get right to the top. I was so pleased with myself that I asked Billy to take a picture of me looking down at the view. When I turned around he was on one knee (Amy's description).
