How did you two meet? We met in High School through mutual friends. We've always had the same friend group and got together when he moved back to Portland in January of 2020. How did Matthew propose? On a camping trip at the Metolius River. We were walking along the river when he got down on one knee and my family, his family and our best friends were waiting for us back at the camp site to surprise us. Why did you choose this location/venue? We both grew up in Lake Oswego. Matt's dad is the Deacon of the parish and he grew up attending Our Lady of The Lake. His family's garden is really special to him, so we wanted our first look, vows and family portraits in the garden before getting married at the church and ending the party at Ironlight. It was really special to us that we incorporated these childhood memories! What was the initial inspo for your wedding? Timeless, elegant, simplistic! We wanted a day that represents us as people and a couple. Getting married in the town we both grew up in and involving family as much as we have was a top priority for us.
