Wedding Date on Jun 26, 2020

Like a lot of couples in 2020 Chelsea and Mike had a whole other wedding day in mind when they first got engaged. They had a 300 guest reception planned in a grand hall in Lincoln, NE where they are both from, and were so excited to share this day with all of their friends and family. Then as restrictions came into play they reworked their plans and thought back to their roots and came up with a new plan... Mike had always had ties to Lake McConaughy in Ogallala, NE. It's the largest lake in the midwest out in the sandhills of Nebraska. His family friends had a cabin there, no naturally that is where Mike spent a lot of his time. So much so he picked that lake as the spot to propose to Chelsea with his son and their friends there to witness it all. So with all this history, this is the spot they decided to get married as well. A cozy spot right next to the water for a small group of all the friends and family who could make it out to cheer them on and help usher them into their new journey as husband and wife. They couldn't have looked more happy as they got to exchange their vows despite the odds being stacked against them. Chelsea and Mike truly are beacons of hope to show what good can still happen amongst a mountain of bad.
