Wedding Date on Aug 14, 2023

Dan and Chris were scheduled to get married in Lahaina on Maui on August 14th, 2023. On August 8th, the devastating wildfire ripped through Lahaina forcing them to rethink their plans. Instead of cancelling, they were able to move the wedding to the beautiful Hotel Wailea. There they got married surrounded by their 3 children and and intimate group of family and friends. After the horrific fires if was a welcome reprieve to see so much love, joy, and celebration. Dan even delivered a very touching speech during the ceremony speaking to the Jewish tradition of breaking the glass to commemorate the celebration in the face of the horrific events. There was overwhelming support of their Gay marriage by their family which you hear a lot about in the film. It was a beautiful day surrounded by so much love despite the tragic Maui fires.
