Wedding Date on Sep 23, 2017

Considering the location of the wedding, one would assume Danielle and Bryan met as students at UMass Amherst. Although they were probably at many of the same parties, they did not actually meet until after college when living in Brighton, MA. The connection does stem from UMass though, thanks to Danielle's cousin, Meg, who happened to lived in the same UMass dorm as Bryan their freshman year …only to move to Brighton and live less than 100 yards away from one another after graduating. It was at one of Meg's legendary 'pregame' parties before a night out on Landsdowne Street where Danielle and Bryan met and started talking for the first time. Bryan eventually got Danielle's number and their groups of friends began hanging out more frequently. It was in the bleachers at a Red Sox game on Memorial Day Weekend in 2012 when things truly changed. At this game, Bryan strategically made sure he sat next to Danielle where he had her laughing and smiling the entire time (and the beer and Fenway frank didn't hurt his chances either). Danielle was secretly just as happy to have Bryan next to her and he won her over on that hot summer day. From that day on the two spent the entire summer together doing fun activities including their first official date at Devlin's patio and began officially dating. How he proposed: August 27th was just another walk in the park for Danielle and Bryan or at least that's what Danielle thought. Bryan had always wanted to do something special and unique for the woman of his dreams, who only deserved the best. Over the past year Danielle would leave some not-so-subtle hints about marriage, and Bryan knew for a long time she was the one. So he kept mental notes about creating the engagement of her dreams, he knew she wanted her family present (or close by to celebrate), she wanted Tenney somewhat involved and wanted to be completely surprised. And Bryan accomplished just that. Bryan had bought the ring a week earlier while Danielle was on vacation on the Cape with her family. Bryan had a couple of ideas floating in his head about how he wanted to propose but in the end there was only one perfect place to do it. Bryan and Danielle's favorite after work activity was to take Tenney to the park in their neighborhood that sat on a hill that looked upon the skyline of Boston. This was the place, so with the help of Danielle's sister and father, he was able to get her family and his family to the park prior to the proposal. The next logistical hurdle was to get Danielle to the park but obviously she had to be wearing something more than her typical park attire since pictures would be plentiful. So Bryan told Danielle they were going to walk to Coolidge Corner (about 4+ miles away in 85 degree+ heat) with Tenney and eat at one of the outdoor patios. On the way to the park, Danielle began to realize just how far away they were planning on walking but Bryan knew they were only walking a couple hundred yards even though it felt like the longest park walk in Bryan's life. As Bryan entered the park his heart started pounding harder than it ever has before, he knew he had the families hidden in the woods to the right while his uncle Scott was undercover playing softball with the neighborhood kids to the left. That's when Bryan told Danielle they weren't going out to dinner but instead he had something more important to do. The rest gets a little blurry as both Bryan and Danielle's worlds stopped. Bryan got down on one knee and asked Danielle to spend the rest of her life with him. Before they knew it, Bryan was holding Danielle as 8 different iPhones emerged from the woods and were closing in on the newly engaged couple. In a matter of minutes there were picnic tables, champagne and beer and an entire celebratory picnic that seemed to appear out of thin air but that's what you get when you combine the minds of both Bryan's mom and Danielle's mom. Everything worked out more perfectly than Bryan could ever have imagined. In the end, August 27th wasn't just another walk in the park, it was the beginning to the rest of their lives.
