The father of the bride’s speech during this Orion Hill wedding will give you goosebumps. It’s a message we all need to hear and something I knew needed to be included in their wedding video. Danielle’s father started his wedding reception speech… talking about his company’s merger. He said it’s referred to as a “merger of equals.” “Indeed our two companies are different in a number of ways but they’re similar in ways that are most important. The bedrock of their similarities is culture. Which is centered in the values and beliefs of the people. The employees of each company come from all walks of life, all ethnicities, all races,” he said. Danielle and Koedy’s marriage, he said, is like a merger of equals. “While they’re different people of different backgrounds, different races, and while they grew up in different parts of the country, they’re similar in what matters most,” Danielle’s dad continued. He continued that Danielle and Koedy show love for each other and others. They find peace in the midst of chaos. They’re joyful, patient, and kind. “Although the world may see this as a marriage of two very different people, like the company I work for and our merger partner, Koedy and Danielle are both well matched,” Danielle’s dad said. Danielle and Koedy’s first look was absolutely emotional; their love for each other is overwhelming. “This next chapter of our lives is so new, scary, and exciting all at the same time,” Danielle began her note to Koedy, “Yet I feel like all my life I’ve unknowingly been preparing to become the wife to Koedy.” Koedy said to Daneille in a beautifully written note, “I have no misgivings about or lack of confidence in the promise I make to you, us and Christ today. I promise to love you fully, purely, truthfully and with the unyielding strength that only god’s mighty omnipotence could surpass.”
