Wedding Date on Oct 24, 2020

Mark bought the ring for Deborah in April. In May, the two of them bought their first house together, a nice upgrade from their apartment. It was a Tuesday night, Mark and Deborah's first night "all moved in", when Mark came home from work and Deborah had dinner all ready for him. Mark specifically remembered how "great the house smelled". "I had originally wanted to wait until Summer to propose" but the minute Mark got home, he knew he was proposing that night. He said, "I had to sneak into the bathroom to get the ring and somehow find a way to hide it in my pocket until after dinner". Once dinner was over, Mark took Phoebe (their dog) out to the back yard, and made Deborah come outside exclaiming that "it was urgent". Mark asked a single question, he asked if she was happy? After an answer of yes, Mark took in that moment and asked her to marry him. Of course, he got TWO "yes's" that night! Mark and Deborah had originally planned a 200+ guest wedding in Sunriver. However, COVID-19 got in the way of their previous plans. The two still decided to get married, and so they planned an intimate elopement at Sparks Lake in Sisters, Oregon with their closest family and friends. Their venue was the gorgeous, snow and fog covered Sparks Lake. Have you ever felt like someone is watching over you? Deborah's mom passed away a few years back, but when the two had their intimate ceremony at Sparks Lake, as soon as they began their vows...it started to snow. The entire day, she was watching them celebrate their love and was watching over them from afar. Have you ever felt someone's love as you watch them say 'I do'? It's one of the most amazing feelings. Watching Mark and Deborah, was one of those amazing moments. From the "I do's" to Mark playing the guitar so beautifully alone at the lake with Deborah, it left everyone in tears because we felt the love they shared.
