I met my husband, Dustin, when I was 9 years old at a sleep away camp in Pennsylvania called Tyler Hill Camp. We ended up going to the same college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and studying abroad together in Sydney, Australia our junior year. We now live in NYC in the West Village. We love to travel and invest in experiences, which is why we chose Cedar Lakes Estate as the venue for our wedding. CLE ties in the camp theme with a weekend celebration-- an experience our family and friends will never forget. My advice for other brides and grooms planning a wedding is to of course remember a) the reason you are getting married is because you love this person so much that you want to celebrate with your loved ones and b) embrace the planning process: all the decisions, family nuances, financial constraints -- it's overwhelming! Nobody goes through it 100% unscathed, but take it one step at a time. If you go into it with a good attitude, it will be a good experience. I know for me personally the planning process was an experience I will cherish for the rest of my life, and the wedding itself was the highlight of my husband and my life to date!! I am still not over it!!!
