Wedding Date on Oct 2, 2021

Emma and Dustin tied the knot this past fall and holy hell was it a blast. When they booked me to capture their wedding film, I could tell there was a special energy and excitement under the surface. I was so excited to capture their connection and create something with them to cherish forever. Oh– and if you need people to show you a good time– call these two lmao. The day started in Amarillo, Texas– can anyone else hear “Route 66”? Just me? Sick. With bridal prep happening at The Barfield Hotel, I knew I my work cut out for me. Also I was certifiably gagged and gooped that this hotel was in Amarillo, like what. Emma and her ladies had a blast getting pampered and sharing lots of laughs, which set such a carefree vibe for the day. Emma was so natural in front of the camera and was effortlessly cool and herself the entire day. We had to take advantage of some vogue moments because she was way too gorgeous of a bride NOT to. After our ladies were ready, we met up with our handsome groom, Dustin, at the church and let me just say these two look good together. AND to top it all off, he’s *the* best dad, and whose heart wouldn’t melt at that? Their wedding party actually only consisted of the kids, making the entire ceremony a beautiful, emotional, family affair. Emma’s vows even contained individual vows to each kid, and I definitely think someone was chopping onions at that point. I loved hearing these words of love and affirmation and commitment fro these two beautiful, intelligent (oh yeah they’re both engineers), authentic people. Their intimate, no BS connection is something I love being able to highlight in a wedding film, and it’s so authentic for them. McKay of The Cloud Nine Company and myself paraded downtown with the bride and groom for some fresh and unconventional sunset portraits. These newlyweds were SO down for anything, and made my job a breeze because they basically just did them! We even circled back to The Barfield where the couple knocked back a few Shiners and like who doesn’t love that! Upon entering the Amarillo Club, it definitely catches you off guard how gorgeous it is. With elegant, elevated, and luxe vibes, this space perfectly combines chic and traditional. Avant Garden Amarillo‘s lush floral work was like a magical, West Texas sunset, and was eye candy all around. The couple shared their first dance, and their music choice was so on point. I’m a sucker for when couples pick meaningful, less-popular music for moments like these, and E+D’s taste was impeccable. Once the party got going, the show-stopper was Emma’s full-ass, perfectly executed karaoke cover of “Ice Ice Baby”. It’s safe to say I was fully shook. The day closed out with about a million piece of tiny white confetti, and was the perfect send-off for these two. Emma and Dustin were such a fun, creative couple to work with, and their wedding was a testament to that. I loved that everything had a touch of them, and that allowed for such a fun, unique, and gorgeous wedding film.
