Wedding Date on Mar 23, 2020

From Erika: "We originally met on a friend of a friend's boat. Ryan told me I had the prettiest smile he'd ever seen and I taught him the difference between macaroons and macarons (this included a field trip to Lady Yum). When we went on our first date, we showed up in matching outfits (buffalo check button up, black jeans and black leather boots), both drank gin & tonics and chatted each other's ears off. We still argue who kissed who first at the end of the night but I'll let Ryan have this one! 90 minutes after our date, he texted me asking when he could see me again. When people ask me how I knew Ryan was "The One" (or at least could be), I reference that text...Although it took me about a year to convince myself Ryan was actually an angel of a human and not full of it, he's always been all-in, no games, no waiting 2 days to call, nothing. It was SO refreshing! Ryan continues to surprise me every day and I can't believe I'm the lucky one that gets to marry him!" These two had quite the adventure planning their intimate wedding. Erika is actually an adventure elopement planner herself - she owns The Greatest Adventure Weddings and plans tons of elopements for other couples. They originally planned to have an intimate wedding in Isle of Skye, Scotland, but had a change of plans thanks to COVID. Travel started shutting down just days before we planned on boarding a plane to go to Scotland. Erika and Ryan were heartbroken but made the best of it, and we celebrated on "Isle of Whidbey" instead. It was an absolutely breathtaking day.
