Eddie was my recruiter. He "followed-up" with me 3 months after having accepted the job. We remained friends for a year, both dating other people, while secretly harboring feelings for each other the entire time. That same year I invited him to my job's holiday party... Too many drinks and some bad dancing later we finally professed our feelings for each other. 6 years later he proposed in a bamboo forest in Kyoto, Japan. 8 years and 4 months after that fateful December night in NYC, we had the wedding of a lifetime.
