Jack and Parker were married at the home of a long-time family friend’s home on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Despite the blowing wind during the ceremony, it was a beautiful fall day for a waterfront wedding. When I heard the wedding would be at a family friend's home I didn’t think too much of it. A fair number of weddings I film do happen at private residences. Though this simple act put in the context of Jack & Parker’s story makes it all the more meaningful. The ceremony was officiated by a friend of theirs and her line about how much community means to these two sent the message home: “Jack and Parker are the type of neighbors who make a neighborhood feel like a community. They’re the type of friends that always make you feel like you’re always at the top of their mind. What these two care most about is each other and the people around them” While it seemed like just a venue choice in the beginning, it was a piece to a larger story. That piece of Jack and Parker’s story revolves around community. This celebration brought together all the communities two care most about under one tent. I can’t think of much that would make these two happier. I’m thrilled that I got to play a part in helping these two remember such a meaningful day.
