Wedding Date on Sep 16, 2017

Jake and Jordan had mutual friends and didn't even know it. On her 21st birthday, one of the mutual friends attended her 21st bash and they took some pictures together that night. Jordan posted them on Facebook and he happened to stumble upon a few of the pictures. Jake then reached out to their mutual friend, Ashlie, and asked why he'd never seen her before! From there, he sent Jordan a friend request and later messaged her on Facebook. They struck up a conversation and Jordan ended up giving him her phone number. They then Facetimed and talked for a while. Jake was planning on moving to Chicago (where Jordan lived at the time) for a job when he got out of college. Jake came to visit before he actually moved and they met at a local bar near her house and then he moved and they started dating. When it was 4th of July weekend and Jake & Jordan planned on going to his parents’ house in Michigan to celebrate. Once they arrived Jake and Jordan spent the whole day with his family. The next day, the "girls" were all about to take a boat ride to tour Jordan's "dream" home on the lake where his parents lived. She always imagined myself living there one day and they just so happened to allow us to tour it. While she was on her house tour, Jake snuck in Jordan's WHOLE family from Chicago. When the girls all arrived back at the house, everyone (including her family) were hiding inside the house. Jake came down to the pier to bring the boat in and asked her to go out on the pier to talk. Once they got to the end of the pier, he got down on one knee and proposed to Jordan. As soon as she said yes, the doors of his parents’ house opened and out came her entire family and his. Jordan was SO surprised and emotional all at one. They spent the rest of their 3 day weekend with both families celebrating their engagement.
