Jess and Luke "met on a brilliant summer's day at the Clock Hotel in Surry Hills," Sydney, Australia. The pair had been messaging through social media for quite sometime before they agreed to grab a drink together. Luke said of the encounter, "when I first laid eyes on a very attractive young woman, with beach blonde hair, fiery blue eyes, an arse to kill and a woman that was somehow shorter than I was, she was already ticking a lot of boxes!" They "clicked together instantly and from that day forward there has never been a break in the conversation." Jess and Luke married after an 8-year together, in which they have travelled the world and welcomed two beautiful children into the world. Luke said many of the best times in his like have been while "just being in the presence of Jess".
