On a beautiful brisk Saturday in November, in the bustling city of Birmingham, Alabama, there was a gorgeous wedding celebration. Nathan and Jessica met when they were part of the Fellows Program. The Fellows Program is a nine-month program where participants get internships in their field, take leadership and seminary classes, and become a part of a close-knit community of believers. The only catch was that participants could not date each other while enrolled in the program. Nathan and Jessica met on the first day of the program, September 10, 2017. On September 30th, just twenty days later, Nathan told Jessica that he liked her and asked her on a date for the day after the Fellows program ended… in 245 days. So Nathan and Jessica had to wait about 9 months to even go on their first official date. Needless to say, they fell in love and Nathan asked Jessica to marry him in the heart of their favorite city of Birmingham in front of the Magic City sign. Their day was no less than magical. Jessica has a free and genuine spirit. She flowed in her gorgeous wedding gown with grace and beauty. The moment Nathan laid his eyes on her on that day, one could almost feel his heart stop a little. It was a beautiful moment. They read letters to each other privately and savored the sweet moment of their raw emotions in the midst of their special day. Their ceremony was sacred and personal. They had family members read specific prayers over them and their future together. The celebration was just as sweet and sincere with cookies and shot glasses of milk to toast the new couple. Nathan and Jessica’s wedding day was an incredible finale to their unique relationship. Personable. Fun. Whimsical. Genuine. Love. Nathan and Jessica were married on November 9, 2019, at Haven in Birmingham, Alabama.
