Wedding Date on Oct 10, 2018

Joe and Leila met in Tallahassee, Florida where they connected over their love of traveling, puppies, and the Florida State Seminoles. After two years together, Joe and Leila moved to Nashville, TN while Leila attended Vanderbilt Law School. During their three years there, they spent their time making new friends, pretending to be foodies, and taking long walks with their fur-child, a golden retriever named Riley Marie. Joe proposed on March 10, 2017, while on vacation in San Francisco. Joe and Leila had plans to take pictures at the golden gate bridge. As they approached the bridge, Joe insisted on walking through a large, wet grass field, much to Leila’s dismay, to capture a perfectly centered picture. Leila’s shoes were getting soaked, the uneven ground was causing her to trip, and just a few minutes before she was ready to demand they change course to the neatly paved pathway, Joe got down on one knee and said, in true Joe fashion, “Leila Marie Prosper-Chartier – will you marry me or what!?” Completely stunned, Leila said, “what!? … I mean YES!”
