Wedding Date on Feb 11, 2023

From the bride: "Jake & I went to high school together, and we knew who each other were, but we never talked. We barely missed each other in college and then he went off to be a pilot and I went to Texas State. Then in 2020 when he was stationed in Afghanistan he messaged me on Instagram and we talked for a whole year and a half before our first date in Corpus when he was home on leave. He had been through a lot leading up to our first date and so had I. I wasn’t even wanting to date anyone but we were in love after our first date. He went back to NY and we become boyfriend and girlfriend after our second date 3 months later at a military ball. Then we got engaged 6 months later…he proposed to me at his dads ranch on the Guadalupe River. But I had already booked the wedding venue before he proposed because I knew he would. Turns out he ended up buying my ring the same day I decided to book a venue. And we’ve been happy weirdos ever since LOL." When I saw Jordan on her wedding day, one of the first things she told me was that I looked pretty. On HER wedding day, she was making me feel so special and seen. That’s the type of person and friend Jordan is to others, and part of the reason I know Jake is so special too. Their relationship formed from online chats while Jake was stationed overseas in the military, and they quickly fell in love when they finally met in person. And it totally makes sense. They are both passionate, caring people who stand up for what they believe in, and fight for what they believe is right. When I heard Jordan’s stunning poem that she had written as part of her vows, I immediately knew that it needed to be incorporated into their video in some special way. Getting the chance to stretch some creative muscles and try to create a moment in their video that was slow and beautiful and poetic was so rewarding. Jordan and Jake’s love for each other just feels so authentic and deep, I loved the chance to be a part of their day. Congrats to the Bays!
