Wedding Date on Sep 1, 2020

We know how important family is for many couples considering to elope. Luckily, there are many ways to include your closest loved ones in your elopement. Kim and Paul were an incredible example of this as they not only included them in their ceremony but spent the entire week hiking and exploring with their parents, making sure they were included in their entire wedding celebration. 6 months into wedding planning, Kim and Paul had to completely change their plans of a large traditional wedding. Instead of giving up or feeling upset, they decided to plan a small intimate elopement with their parents. Once further into planning, they realized it was what they really wanted all along. All week, they spent time in Telluride checking out local restaurants, hikes, and views with their families. On Saturday before their ceremony, Holden and I met up with all 6 of them for a hike up to Hope Lake. It was the perfect morning with the entire hike and lake to ourselves and along the way, in typical Colorado fashion, we experienced a chilly morning, sunshine, rain, AND hail. As we hiked down, we all joked all they needed now was snow. Fast forward 2 days, to a fresh blanket of snow on the ground, just as they had joked about! We went on the perfect sunrise hike as the snow melted. After a midday break, they exchanged vows in the pine trees next to the Observatory followed by the perfect paddle across the lake! The perfect day ended with a drop-dead gorgeous sunset. It is obvious everything about their day and week was meant to be!
