Wedding Date on Jun 11, 2016

From The Bride: Heather was working in Texas and Kristy was getting her PhD in Ohio when they first connected on OKCupid. Heather was soon moving back to the Midwest after, and Kristy made the journey that much sweeter. We were engaged on January 3, 2015, when Heather proposed to Kristy on a cruise in front of 40 of her family members! Kristy's parents threw the couple an engagement party in California on June 27, 2015, which just so happened to be the day after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of gay marriage :) The wedding was held in California, where Kristy's family lives. It was a whirlwind planning it from 2,000 miles away -- while Kristy was also finishing her PhD, then starting a full-time faculty job at Otterbein University. Heather also quit her job as an urgent care doc and opened her own medical clinic four months before the wedding. Oh! And we bought a house in August 2015 and got a dog in September 2015. So really, the wedding planning was a piece of cake compared to all the other life events we had going on last year! :)
