From The Bride: We met via a dating app — such a unique story for NYC! That said, the connection was instantaneous. Lauren is a beauty editor at Popsugar and Michael does equity research at UBS. We grew up across Westchester country from each other and went to sleep away camp 20 minutes apart, but never met before. It took the app (Hinge) to help us find each other. After about three months of dating, we got into a serious relationship. As a couple, Vermont has always been our special vacation spot. So it was fitting when Michael proposed on a summer hike in the state. We celebrated with massages and then dinner in town — as only a beauty editor would! The Garrison was the perfect wedding venue for us (we booked it a week after getting engaged) since the country vibe reminded us of Vermont, but it was much closer to our friends and family in NYC and Westchester. Everything else fell into place during out 10-month engagement before we honeymooned in Bali and Thailand!
