Matt had been married, and Amy had been engaged. Neither worked out. Being busy, professionals, both relatively new and novice in the dating scene. They both joined Tinder. They matched, chatted, had banter that included questionable non PC jokes about tossing midgets.. and left an impression on one another. They planned to meet for a drink, Matt cleared other dates having a good feeling about Amy… to which Amy bailed on the day due to work commitments – she swears was out of character. They kept in touch ad-hoc but it was around Christmas / NY – a few sporadic messages that replied one or both of them on some kind of epic adventure kept us vaguely interested. A whole six months later from originally “matching” they met at a bar in Takapuna on Friday 13th – and it was instant. They even got asked by a stranger on our second or third date how long they had been together and how beautiful our children will be.
