Our love story started in 2016, but I guess you could say our story started in 1978.My mother, Beth moved to Canton, Michigan and joined the cheerleading team at Canton High School in the 10th grade. It was then that she met her forever friend, Patrick’s mother, Marilyn.38 years of friendship that included weddings, babies, girls night out, vacations and thousands of phone calls all led to December, 2016 - a few nights before Christmas at the Post Bar in Plymouth, Michigan. I was visiting with out-of-town friends and ran into Marilyn, who was there with their ENTIRE FAMILY (50+ people). She proceeded to introduce me to Patrick. We spoke for a few minutes and he attempted to introduce me to all of his family (sweet, but very overwhelming HAHA) and then I was on my way. After I left, he told everyone there “I’m gonna ask that girl out...” Thankfully, he did. Our first date was a few days later on December 29th and we have been inseparable ever since. We bought our first home together in May, 2018; got engaged in July, 2018 and will be married October, 2019.We are forever grateful for our mothers’ life-long friendship that ultimately brought us together... forever. I wanted to make this day all about us and our families. We were surrounded by so much love. It was the BEST NIGHT of our lives. To all future brides, don’t lose yourself in the wedding planning process. Remember it’s all about you and your future husband. It’s a day you will never forget.
