"Our story begins in the heady days of MSN Messenger. A time so long ago, that we can’t actually remember what site we first met on. Julian was 17 and living in Jersey, while Pia was 14 and living in the Philippines. On Julian’s mornings and Pia’s evenings, they would chat for hours about school, music and their lives. Never in their wildest dreams did they think they’d find themselves getting married in the mountains. By some stroke of luck, they stayed in touch with one another and met each other for the first time in London four years later. The feelings of anticipation very quickly turned into a strong and lasting friendship. In December 2014, on a month’s notice, Julian decided to help Pia with her move from Vancouver to Toronto. They first saw each other again at Chester Subway Station (Yes, that’s how they named their sweet pup!). It was two amazing weeks of building IKEA furniture, cheering on the Raptors, and snowball fights. Many further trips between Jersey and Toronto followed and in July 2016, Julian finally moved to Toronto and the rest is history."
