What’s your love story? How did you meet originally and get together? (we love a good sceal…) We met on a night out with friends at university and both immediately caught one another’s eye, we never looked back since. How did the proposal go, if there was one? We have been together for 7 years, he took me away for a valentines treat in a London Hotel, and surprised me with the proposal as soon as our favourite song came on Could you sum up your wedding in a couple of sentences – how would you describe the look and feel of the day, the vibe, UNFORGETTABLE. So much love and happiness was shared through our day, we were lucky to have our close loved ones and friends fly out to enjoy our day and spend a few days with us either side to make our wedding weekend even more magical. What was important to you about your wedding- what were your priorities from the very beginning? The company, the setting and of course the food! Being from England it is rare we can enjoy real authentic italian food. We have travelled places in Italy and always fell in love with the people, surroundings and of course the food. Villa mon repos did an excellent job in giving our guests a taste of sicily, still now our friends discuss how amazing the pasta dish was!! What made your venue “the one”? The venue was exclusive to us, this was very important to us as felt disturbed by some of the hotel options. As so many of our friends and family were travelling such a distance we wanted to have an intimate space where they would feel free to enjoy the grounds. Villa mon repos inside is like every girls dream, an area where i was able to share with my family with beautiful views of Isola Bella. Being able to watch from the windows as our guests entered was very special. What made the day really special and personal to you? (things you included, unusual elements, things that people made or did for you etc) Cutting the cake and sharing our first dance underneath the starry lights is an unforgettable moment for us. What advice would you give to brides and grooms planning their day? Enjoy every second as it goes so quick. Take it all in and try not to rush anything. No matter what happens on that day, you have your friends and family around you, you will never notice if mishaps happen as you are in awe of having such special people around you. All those initial worries you may have disappear. It was honestly the best day of our lives. Where did you go/are you planning on going on honeymoon? We stayed in Taormina with friends and family for a few days after, and then went onto enjoy a week together in antigua. We stayed at the escape in non such bay, it was by far one of the favourite places we have ever visited.
