Wedding Date on Jun 16, 2022

Some of the most emotional speeches that I have been lucky enough to capture this year have to be the speeches at the wedding of Veronika and Danny. The atmosphere in the room was electric and brimming with emotion. This was partly due to the fact that the bride’s Ukrainian family were unable to travel to her wedding in England. This snippet is just a small section of Danny’s father’s welcome speech. They had 6 speeches in total and opted to have them captured in full using multiple cameras. To be able to relive them all in full, each laugh, cheer and tear is priceless. Not only for them to re-watch in years to come, but also for Vee’s father, brothers and other family members who were unable to be there on the day because of the war and restrictions to men leaving Ukraine. During the speeches I kept looking over to Katherine, the photographer and we were both in bits, trying to focus our cameras but also not wanting to miss a moment. I am so pleased that I was there to capture this for Veronica and Danny on their special day. They had a traditional English Country House wedding, with the most gorgeous cake and flowers. Danny is Scottish and so him and his grooms men were all dressed in traditional Scottish kilts and the evening party was successfully started with a ceilidh band, playing a lively mix of Scottish dance & traditional Gaelic Irish & English folk music.
