Wedding Date on Apr 23, 2016

In 2012, Adam brought Chloe to port Elliot for their very first trip down to middleton together. From day one they were smitten. And that day, and many days that followed, brought them to a spontaneous trip to Bali in June 2015. One day, after arriving back on a day trip to the Bukit, Adam had been acting strange all day. They rushed back to their villa just in time for evening drinks. They found themselves sitting in beanbags, drinking G&T’s enjoying the sunset . “Adam went on to stutter and say that I was his best friend and began to pull out a plastic bag… I didn’t know what to think – but it had a beautiful friendship ring in it. Then he asked the words and of course I said ‘Yes!’ and following I was a blubbering mess. We enjoyed the rest of the night listening to terrible singers and decided to keep it to ourselves for a few days until our return to Adelaide. It was perfect and I had no idea.” They are so fortunate to live in a beautiful beachside town south of Adelaide and the ocean means so much to both of Them. They didn’t really have to think very long and hard about where to seal the deal. They decided on a stunning cove, Green Bay in Port Elliot, 5 minutes from their house. They picked autumn knowing that the wind dies down during these months and they were extremely lucky. The sun was out and the waves were rolling in. It was actually a king tide that day so the boys had to roll up their slacks and it made for great entertainment apart from their vows! Their reception was held at Crabtree Crabtree Farm in Middleton. The owners Mick and Vicki made the lead up and preparation a dream; a perfect rustic location with an old stone ‘boat bar’ and lawned area opposite for the tipi’s to be erected. “We drew upon the natural palate of the sea to style our wedding. We collected copious amounts of driftwood to make our wedding arch and opted for natural, raw elements to bring the ocean to the farm. The wooden tables were flanked by driftwood, candles, hand dyed linen table runners and sporadic native florals. I had a vision to have pendants hanging in one of the tipis, like clouds so Adam made the frames, whilst mum hand stitched the covers. She also made pillar soy wax candles in a signature fragrance (sea salt, lavender & freesia – divine!)” On the morning of the wedding, Chloe and her bridesmaids were lead by a yogi friend of hers through a class before the beautifying began! The yogi’s words were, ‘Send roots through the souls of your feet to ground you and shine your heart outwards to lead with love’. “It was the most wonderful way to start the day – my advice would be… if you have time do something for you in the morning, then it sets you up for the huge day ahead. Whether it is going for a quick walk or run, meditating, or doing a dance; something just for you. It will leave you feeling calm and present. Adam and his men went for a morning surf before getting ready and I know this helped to calm the nerves! And… I am sure this has been said, but don’t sweat the small stuff! I can promise you that it will all come together and it won’t matter what colour the share plates are for dinner … you and your guests, who remember, are there to celebrate your love & life together, will not give a s*#t!” What Chloe and Adam mean to each other is blindingly obvious and their happy union is the foundation for them to establish a home of love and stability where their family and friends, will find laughter, food and wine, peace and support.
