Wedding Date on Jun 2, 2019

Julie knew exactly what she wanted her intimate Quail Valley wedding to look like. Like most girls, dreamed of the day her father would walk her down the aisle. Above marrying the man of her dreams, this was her greatest wish for her wedding day. When Alex proposed, that dream became a surety. She contacted me almost immediately, because she wanted every precious moment preserved in a wedding film to relive those intimate moments forever. A few months into our wedding film planning, Julie called me with some horrible news. Her father had cancer and the prognosis was bleak. She set to planning a secret wedding in her parent’s backyard, because above marrying Alex, having her father give her away was most important. That wedding was beautiful, emotional and bittersweet. So they had a Secret Wedding, and of course we filmed it. We were all so excited to arrive at Julie and Alex’s wedding day months later at Quail Valley in Vero Beach, Florida. All of planning, tears and laughter led to this day and I was ready to film it all. I was not prepared for the amount of crying I would do. Julie and Alex surprised their guests by sharing highlights from their secret wedding before their entrance into the reception. Applause and tears of joy filled the space as the guests realized Julie and her father were able to share the moment all fathers and daughters dream of. It was one of the single most powerful moments I have witnessed in my life. Topped only by Julie helping her dad to his feet so he could walk her a few short steps to her groom. So please, watch their emotional and intimate wedding films, but know that it is so much more than just another wedding video. It is life. It is grief and joy. It is legacy and memory that Julie and Alex can share with their children and their children’s children. May it remind you that our moments together are precious, and life is indeed too.
